The tribunal's powers

Once the tribunal has heard your appeal or claim, and considered the evidence, the panel will make a decision and issue an Order. The guidance booklets below explain what the Tribunal can and cannot order in law.

If you’re appealing a decision about a statement of SEN, the appeal is subject to the Special Educational Needs rules. Please check the appeal orders guidelines on the Special Educational Needs Tribunal (SENTW) website.

SENTW has changed its name to the Education Tribunal, but not all children are subject to the new additional learning needs rules. If your child has an individual development plan (IDP), please use the Appeal Orders guidance booklet below.
