Guidance and Forms

Information about when and how you can make an appeal or claim to the Education Tribunal for Wales (ETW) can be found in our guidance booklets.

The Publications Register is a list of links to all of our guidance booklets and forms. Please download them from this website, or contact us if you would like us to send you copies by post. You will need to send completed forms by email or post to the Education Tribunal for Wales.

Appeals

Children, their parents, and young people can make appeals to ETW against certain decisions made by Welsh local authorities about additional learning needs. You must tell us in writing. We have guidance and forms to help you through the process.

ETW can only accept appeals about decisions made by local authorities. If you disagree with a decision about additional learning needs made by a school, you should ask your local authority to review the decision first. Your local authority must tell you about its decision and when you have the right to make an appeal to ETW.
