Responsible bodies

The Education Tribunal for Wales (ETW) will write to the responsible body to tell them that we have received a claim of disability discrimination to do with the school. The responsible body is usually the board of governors of the school and in some cases the local authority.

In the tribunal context, responsible bodies are also known as respondents as they must respond to a case brought against them.

The guidance booklets and forms below are for officers of responsible bodies who’re authorised by their organisations to respond to claim applications.

If you would like booklets or forms sent to you by post, please contact us.
